Introduction
Founded in 2017, the Oxford Alpha Fund aims to be the premier student investment society in the United Kingdom, producing superior risk adjusted returns through fundamental equity research, quantitative strategies, and successfully learning and teaching the practice of investment management. As of September 2023, we are managing live positions in our Student Investment Portfolio, as the first student SIP in Oxford’s 900+ year history.
We are currently a team of over 60 passionate portfolio managers and analysts coming from a wide variety of subject disciplines, from both the undergraduate and graduate student body.
Our platform gives students with a passion for the markets the opportunity to hone their technical knowledge, develop practical investment theses, and gain hands-on experience managing a live, student-run investment portfolio.
